9/25/2023 0 Comments Kingpins cedar hills![]() ![]() The fitness center is on 1st floor along with a small pool. We arrived early, but Kay was kind enough to get us into a room early & we received a follow up text checking in on us and giving us a channel to communicate any questions/requests. We had a weekend stay here and found the new AC hotel to be clean with the room layout functional and well-thought out (flat screen TV opposite beds w/a seating/luggage counter underneath, a swivel-chair in the corner, & a large bathroom having a shower with standard + rainfall head) for the space. We did not eat the breakfast offered ($15 per person).… I can see how it could be, though, depending on who you have staying in the rooms around you. That really did not bother us so much and the noise we heard during our stay was not excessive. The only friendly and professional person working at the front desk was the woman who checked us out. Most of the staff were friendly and professional, with the exception of the front desk staff. The wheelchair level portion of the check-in desk has a huge decorative item on it and no credit card machine (so basically they are not using it for what it is supposed to be used for at all). There is a good amount of handicapped parking in the lot, right next to the front door. The location is great - close to everything in Beaverton and right near highway 26, minutes to Portland. There is a lounge with a tapas menu and a bar. The refrigerator in the room is quite small and there is no microwave. The bathroom, too, works well for a wheelchair user. The room is well designed for a wheelchair user and the beds are low for an easy transfer. The room we had (2 queen, wheelchair accessible with tub) was spacious and clean. I look forward to using this hotel and AC brand again.… Clean and modern hotel with good service and excellent breakfast. The hotel shares the same lot as the Element, and there is plenty of parking. Adults is $15 and kids $8, so I thought it was excellent value. Drinks include juices, regular and chocolate milk, lemonade, iced coffee, regular drip coffee and Nespresso machine. The a la carte dishes that are included in the price are very good restaurant quality dishes. Kids loved that they served churros and madelines too. The food selection has a greater European influence so it includes a selection of cold cuts, fruits and good cheeses. We had breakfast in the AC Kitchen, and this is where the AC stands out from the rest. WiFi measured to be around 20Mbps which is above average. There is a small fridge and in-room safe, but found it a very tight squeeze to get my laptop into the safe. Very simplistic European styling with clean lines emphasizing minimalism. Took the extra time to appreciate how nicely designed the lobby and bar was. I was checked in by a trainee, so a bit slow but we covered all the necessary points. I checked in online so on arrival I provided my ID to get my keys. I picked this hotel because it is less than a year old, relatively affordable, and wanted to try this brand.
